Female Privilege Argument by Nate Richardson 9-26-17

Female Privilege Argument by Nate Richardson 9-26-17

This is a rough draft and more on this in other areas:

I argued with another professor [name] that there is such a thing as female privilege, that women show their bodies however they want without respect for the modest feelings of others in society. She said I am hyper-concerned of the modesty issue, but I say she is desensitized, as well as many. I ask what Jesus would do, and how we dress in temples. I insist that the way we dress has to do with our problems, and taking women’s body lightly is a fundamental and core issue, a root to a tree of many issues. She said women raped are usually merely in tee shirts and jeans. But have you seen the tees and jeans today? They are very sexual and tightly form fitting. I wrote more on this by hand which I’ll turn into a document soon for this is madness. And women want to be men. And this is crazy. I don’t have time to flush this out now but by God I have evidence for my case, and I will stand up for what’s right. This professor has a PhD in some sort of social science and she is set in her ways, thinking herself at utmost authority. I will write some points here as this topic is too crucial to leave alone:
1. to deny female privilege is to deny women’s accountability in their role in social issues.
2. immodest women want to wear form fitting clothes and be seen as themselves without being looked at sexually. This is what the feminists tell me. However you cant separate bodies with sex. Humans as sexual by nature.  If you want to emphasize intellect and character instead of sex, why does the way you dress draw attention to the curvature of your breasts, etc? It doesn’t make sense. Why don’t they cover the body to hide its curves and emphasize the face instead? If your definition of wanting to express your individuality is based on showing the curves of your body, then it is you, not men, who are looking at yourself in a sexual lens. You may say ‘we want to show our bodies without them being associated with sex.’ Well you may as well show a hungry man food without him associating it with ending his hunger. You may as well show a baby a toy without intending for it to play with it. You may as well show a cake to a peasant while expecting him to not lunge for it. Humans are not animals, and can think higher than mere sexual reproduction, but that is helped by dressing ourselves, covering our nakedness. To display our nakedness or come virtually close to it via tight apparel etc, we are over-emphasizing sex.
3. you think me overly concerned with modesty. Perhaps you and everyone else is desensitized. this is evidenced in the way that we are most open of showing body, more so that most of history. Look at a history of fashion book. You bring up the point that at one time it was fashionable for a high class woman to be painted nude. This is an isolated event. Today we have a culture obsessed with sex and every day they walk in immodesty. Yesterdays dress of sluts is today’s dress of moderation. Today’s dress of sluts is yesterdays dress of private encounters between husband and wife only. What we tolerate today is simply bizarre.
4.you say as long as rape culture exists that women dressing immodestly isn’t a thing of power. I say that despite rape culture, women can be independant in the way they choose to dress, and will be held accountable for the messages they send via the way they dress. Is it not written by the prophets that women become pornography by the way they dress? You say ‘well they are not dressing to that extreme to be called pornography’ I say aren’t they? They look like cameleons, like they are nude but painted green, etc, based on the color of their outfit. The tit is covered with a bra to hide this feature, but everything else shows right through the clothing. Who do they think they are fooling? Many men don’t care that they dress this way and quite like that they dress this way. But this leads them to arrogance abusivness selfishness hedonism greed lust and only bad.
5. women manipulate men into certain acts or exchanges by flaunting their bodies. This is an old trick, see Book of Mormon, God identifies this exchange of female body for services as one of the pillars for the secret combinations of the devil (see book of Ether). You say “immodesty isn’t the same as nudity” well that is true. There are 7 circles in hell. But we would do best to get out of hell, rather than saying we are comfortable in only an outter ring thereof. Any level of hell and devils will sap us of happiness and liberty. Don’t make the petty argument that 1 devil is fine so long as its not 3 devils.
6. asking men to not see women as sexual when they reveal their body is against nature. It jams his psychology and weakens him. His work is frusturated, he cannot focus.
7. The body of women has immensely overpowering effect on men. People of Islam understand this. I am not alone in recognizing the extreme danger of public display of what was never meant to be public. The concept of temples shows this: you need a reccomend to enter. It’s not open to public viewing. Is it not written that our bodies are temples? Surly then we should not allow just anyone to peer into them and discover the mysteries.
8. notice how women speaking at General Conference dress. they are the examples.
9. denial is a step in the privilage cycle. Are you in denile of female privilage?
10. women hold sex over mens heads. They say “if you don’t do as I say we will have less sex.” men want sex more, so women use this to their advantage. In the ideal marriage this does not occur, but we are talking about issues in society, and this is one of them.
11. the modesty of “for the strength of youth” section is important. No tight or revealing clothes (prohetic warning against yoga pants? Yes.) It helps avoid bad stsuff like over-sexualization which always turns out bad; its an animalistic form of the fall of nations. When humanity turns into sensuality/animality, everything falls apart. See also warning of “family proclamation”, that rejecting family ideas will lead to destruction of nations. Certainly modesty is a family ideal.  Anyone who says otherwise is looking beyond the mark, and has a seared conscious. Immodest dress attracts idol persons who want something for nothing. They want the body you’ve almost revealed to them, and it won’t take much work for them to finish the job you’ve already started before meeting them: that of undressing yourself and giving over your body. Of course we cringe to think on this subject, but we must remedy the plague.
12. woman puts herself into the world of men, out of home, refuses her nature as mother and seeks status in world of men. Men can’t have children, its obvious that their work would be to provide so that women can fulfill their role. Do you get it? The point of men is to fulfill woman. Woman is the motivator of men. If women go in their heart (rather than by necessity) to the workplace, they leave men demotivated. I don’t say its bad for women to work, I say that this mass exodus out of the home is bad. If them working comes at the cost of them being mothers, then it gets bad.

Why We Perform In Depth Study and Teaching of both Religious and Social Issues. Prophets and Parameters. A rebuttal by Nate Richardson, August 2017

Why We Perform In Depth Study and Teaching of both Religious and Social Issues. Prophets and Parameters. A rebuttal by Nate Richardson, August 2017

This is a response to a letter from a friend. I had sent him several of my compositions on gospel and social issues and theories (including information on the dangers of the CSE (Comprehensive Sex Ed program), and some resources on how to combat it with a better/appropriate method.). The friend seemed concerned that I encouraged people to read my writings rather than merely pointing them to the writings of the prophets. He said he doesn’t feel inclined to read what I write because I’m not a General Authority in the Church with direct Priesthood office stewardship over him. He further expressed that my topics should not go beyond the scope of basic gospel principles as taught in General Conference.

Response:

Yes the prophets are our leaders.

Are you suggesting we shouldn’t read anything unless a prophet wrote it?

As a family science student, the subject of pornography and sex ed in school is something I deal with in studies, and which I deal with more as a therapist.

The things I find in my research are materials which I think would help parents in their efforts to raise strong oriented children. You may find it interesting that I have disassociated myself with many theorizers and postulators whose ideas step beyond the bounds of church councils. I’ve used caution with the “Two Churches Only” books; vol 1 was great, vol 2 was mostly apostate. I threw out the apostate material. Many “last day” obsessors get too carried away and put too much stock in theories. All topics need to be studied with carefulness.) Same thing with music, I can teach my children that pop music is ok so long as they don’t have music with vulgar lyrics or suggestive tones and words etc. etc. We can help people be happy in their own way, and learn in their own way, so long as its within the bounds of the prophets councils. Joseph Smith said that there are many superstitions, and that he would pull them down. Monson is a good example of this with his motorbike billboards advertising a biker guy in the I’m a Mormon campaign. Many thought that this type of person should not be advertised as the billboard Mormon, I might have even been one who would think such a thing strange, but as soon as the church officially began to do it in their official billboards, I embraced it full heartedly, and the church teaches me about tolerance, love and appropriate boundaries. I love the church and wouldn’t leave it for anything. When I go on official priesthood duty like home teaching, I’m very careful to load them full of pure doctrine and to not theorize. That pure doctrine strengthens them in the appointed way of course.

When I study the gospel my favorite source materials are the official (and current) manuals of the church. You can’t go wrong with those. If an idea in an old church manual is removed from a current church manual, then I focus on promoting the current not the old idea. Of course, the current prophet trumps old prophets. the current one is the living mouthpiece for Christ whom can clarify his teachings to us in a way that we can understand.

President Lee I think it was called searching the scriptures good clean fun. My study of scripture and words of prophets and topics related thereto like social sciences which can help families is good clean fun you might say.

Further I do not study or promote research which has teachings contrary to the messages of the prophets. If you’ve found a teaching of mine which is against the prophets, let me know and I’ll eradicate it. The Book of Mormon which Monson just urged us to read says that those who receive will get more, and those who wont receive, what they have will be taken from them until they have nothing. The prophets teach the doctrine and set the bounds, and as long as we keep our passions within the bounds the Lord has set via his prophets, we are free and even encouraged to do much good of our free will, not being commanded in all things like slothful servants. One of the bounds Elder Cook reminded us about this conference was extremism, and to an extent its up to each of us to decide what that means. Occasionally I venture to postulate on doctrinal theories. When I do that, I note to the audience that the ideas are mine alone. Sometimes it’s appropriate to share your ideas. Other times it’s not, and I try very hard to be guided by the spirit in the separation of those two types of thoughts. When a certain train of thoughts occur to me and fill me with great joy, how can I help but share those thoughts? Like Lehi at the tree, he sought that this family (and perhaps his associates whom he deemed brothers and sisters) should also partake. What was the fruit? Christ. And at the end of the day, Christ is the center of the messages I share on my website and in emails. Appendages to messages of Christ which I teach deal with things which help us follow Christ. Elder Maxwell also taught that gospel scholarship is a type of worship of God. That is a quote on the wall in the Maxwell Institute building on campus if you’re interested.

If you are disinterested in a scientific study of the effects of modern sex ed on our children (and other pressing social issues, that being the one of our current discussion), I’m fine with that, but for those who do want to study it, feeling called by the spirit to help society in that realm, good for them too. Certainly you don’t need to feel duty bound to read things I send, unlike how you are duty bound to read what the prophets send. Many a time have modern prophets condemned pornography and homosexuality and underage out of wedlock sex, Hinckley even rebuked the public school sex ed obsessive system. We’re encouraged to be civically engaged, and in the public square, to change policy we often need an armory of facts/scientific studies to show that our case is valid. That’s what we’re working at here.

Another thing to think about is that while the Book of Mormon says make sure your teachers are men of God, we also see the life of Joseph Smith. He hired a non-LDS Rabbi to teach him and others Hebrew language. We can learn from people who have expertise in their field even if they don’t have a priesthood calling over us. There’s also a D&C passage which tells us to study geography politics foreign affairs biology etc etc implying a need to study all things important to the well being of man.

Once (as related to me by a social science professor of mine) Elder L Tom Perry was teaching a group of BYU teachers and asked them if they had any issues with his messages. One social science person raised his hand and said ‘stop telling couples to never go to bed upset. Some issues need a nights rest to resolve where we can sort things out with a revived mind in the morning.’ Perry said ‘oh well I guess I better stop saying that then.’ Now Porter I would never say such a thing to a prophet, that was I think man was out of place in saying that (though science supports what he said to a degree, although we know science is often fragmented while revelations of Christ are more pure), but the fact that Perry asked this question to the faculty, and the fact that he responded in that way does illustrate that prophets value the opinions of people whom have expertise in their field. The role of a prophet is to declare the word of God, not to study theories of men, but still there is something to all this. Prophets quote people like Shakespeare and C S Lewis at conference etc. C S Lewis often wrote about gospel theory, probably not too different than I do, though I’m not claiming to be as talented a writer as he. Even though Lewis is not a prophet, apparently several (Lewis is I think the most quoted non LDS author in General Conference) prophets find his writings as interesting and uplifting. Those who don’t want to read Lewis don’t have to, but those who do might be blessed with little jewels, beautiful jewels of light and truth from the spirit of God as impressed upon that man. Perhaps my writings will share some jewels with interested persons. My writings are focused on sharing with others things which I wish were shared with me. I’ve sought out these things, people haven’t so much approached me about it. But if they did approach me about them, all the more joy I would have, both to have a friend interested in them, and to have found the knowledge they shared! I have several people whom have communicated to me that they indeed benefit from time to time with the things I compile etc. etc.

Apparently we see things a little differently and that’s ok. Elder Joseph Worthlin said a man filled with the love of God isn’t satisfied seeking to save those around him, he seeks to bless and save the whole world. We each have our different ways of accomplishing that.

The studies I do which focus on core gospel doctrines are the most important, the others I still think important though less so. Upon returning from my mission my Stake President told me to study the gospel by topic instead of just reading cover to cover. That continues to be a very sweet experience. Study cover to cover is also good (prophets have told us to do it etc) but by topic to me at least brings extra power to preach the gospel etc. Every member a missionary, right? Also, Elder McConkie had a practice of compiling discourses on certain topics in case called upon at church to speak thereon. I think this was before he had any position in the church. One of my favorite documents I’ve compiled is called Scripture Study, and it compiles quotes of prophets teaching how to study the scriptures. I like to make doctrinal quote summary documents, and book summaries, etc. I put them on a blog mainly so I don’t loose them and can review them, and secondarily so that a few others might benefit from it. Same with the audio files I make of those; I review them myself! My memory is so bad (everyone’s is) that I can listen to a document I wrote and learn from it later. In a way it’s like how the prophets have counseled us to keep a journal and review it from time to time. I also believe the prophets have encouraged the saints to gather together in independent groups and have discussions about the gospel. I’m thrilled when I get the chance to do that, but with living far apart and busy families, it’s often only possible to share documents and news articles and etc. with each other.

3 Degrees of Glory and the Godhead as typical/symbols of our stages of progression. By Nate Richardson, August 2017

3 Degrees of Glory and the Godhead as typical/symbols of our stages of progression. – by Nate Richardson, August 2017:

(this is not intended to be a comprehensive study of all that has been revealed about the stages of existance called “The Plan of Salvation”. For that, see official resources of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For example, this link is to an LDS manual on the several kingdoms of heaven: https://www.lds.org/manual/doctrines-of-the-gospel-student-manual/chapter-33-kingdoms-of-glory-and-perdition?lang=eng.   This document proposes 3 stages of existance, and that the purpose of each stage is similar to each member of the Godhead.
Though all 3 Gods, the Father Son and Holy Ghost are exalted, they have different functions, and it can be likened unto the different earths we dwell on. God gives all things as symbols and signs to us to teach us the order of eternity.
Prep-Stage: Spirit realm: Premortality: Analogy of things coming into being and their preparations
-Heavenly Father (personal name Ahman), being more intelligent than the other intelligences present, gathered the intelligences and housed them in spirit tabernacles, organizing them to a more advanced state of being. He instituted laws for them wherein they could become like him. Those laws included premortal training, and mortal testing.
-This is the time to prepare for the final exam called ‘mortality.’ All needed preparations are completed here before one is dispatched to mortality. Contracts are signed, and all conditions of mortality are agreed upon and understood to a sufficient level as to make the experiance of mortality a binding test measuring the soul of the individual to see if he will advance to the status of Heavenly Father or remain forever a servant.
-Jesus Christ attained status of God in this stage. We did not. Christ is not only the most intelligent of the Fathers children, he is more intelligent than the rest combined.
Stage 1: Telestial: Becoming as The Holy Ghost (Mortality)
-Those who live in the telestial sphere (this earth) and whom recieve the telestial kingdom of glory have right to the ministration of The Holy Ghost
-Prophets have taught that the earth we now live upon is in a telestial condition
-This is a telestial earth, we are learning the telestial thing.
The telestial earth we are on right now, that’s all about doing the similar function as the Holy Ghost: learning to testify of The Father and The Son.
-work out your salvation in the fear of God. Point of no return. This is the final exam which determines the unchanging assignment to a kingdom of God in eternity.
-this (telestial) life is when you gather people up, get everyone that you can, get them all in the good ship Zion, get them all ready for the school of the Gods, and help save as many people as you can,
-this stage the focus is the obediance and the proving that yes, I do want to be enrolled in the school, and that’s why this life is where you secure your salvation,
this is a testing ground.
-Although this stage is likened to becoming as The Holy Ghost, we are becoming as God The Father in that we are obtaining mortal bodies.
– here we teach others and we help others,
but a main purpose of this telestial earth is preach the gospel, tell people about it, be like the Holy Ghost, tell about The God, tell about the greatness of him, and so forth.
then the next stage, the terrestrial stage, is the becoming God, and the celestial stage is creating other Gods.
Stage 2: Terrestrial: Becoming as Jesus Christ (Millennium)
-Those who live in the terrestrial kingdom of glory have right to the ministration of Jesus Christ
-becoming God
-finishing the perfection
-The temple is a type of what this stage will be like; the temple is the connecting link between the present earth, and the heavens. it is the gateway; the bridge between earth and heaven; the peek and unvailing of the future of existance of the human race.
-The Millennium will be a terrestrial stage of existance. It will last 1000 years.
-this is a new heaven and a new earth compared to the telestial earth.
-A terrestrial earth, like the Millennium time, will be for perfecting ourselves, for our working out our salvation; we work our our salvation here on the telestial earth as well to a certain extent (all we can, in the fear of God!), but the terrestrial is where we become completely as Jesus. The great work that is done on this telestial earth must be done as mandatory preparation, but the perfecting and finishing of the work of the telesital realm is accomplished in the terrestrial realm.
-though this is the time for perfecting ourselves, persons are at various stages. Such a condition of variability is common to all stages.
-we focus on the knowledge of sciences and so forth, perfecting all of them, including those physical sciences and those spiritual sciences. The knowledge we get in mortality (telestial) is all the advantage in the terrestrial because a big purpose of the terrestrial is the knowledge, Brigham Young taught that during the Millennium only a few hours a day will be required for labors, and the rest of the time will be gaining knowledge.
-This life is the time to prepare to meet God, the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors, and then cometh the night of darkness wherein no labor can be performed. If you don’t qualify in this life, you’re out. This is the test. This is the final exam. Mortality is the final exam, this is the point of no return, its now or never. It is a heracy, one of the 7 deadly heracies, as taught by Elder Bruce R McConkie, that you cannot progress kingdoms; if you are assigned to a lower kingdom at the judgement bar, aftter this life, you CANNOT progress above that kingdom. This is taught in the latter sections of the Doctrine and Covenants, aprox 132, that if you don’t enter into the new and everlasting covenant of marriage, if you don’t obtain these priesthoods (and the heathens if they didn’t know any better they can obtain these things in the spirit world so as to qualify for the celestial kingom); but if you don’t chose it in this life, you can’t qualify for it in the next. Each kingdom has a law, and to live there you just abide that law.
The way Elder McConkie put it, if you reject the testimony of the Elders in this life after the gospel has been preached to you according to your understanding etc. then you cannot obtain the celestial kingdom and you will merely reside in the terrestrial.
-Exaltation is obtained by your grit, your labor. Salvation is the gift of God. Exaltation is the test of God; its the way that man imitate God, and give a gift to the human race. We must appeal to Christ as this exaltation cannot be done on your own, but we also must earn this by obediance to the laws of the gospel.  The prophets have taught that exaltation is earned, and is not a free gift.
-Joseph Smith also taught that it is by obediance to the laws of the gospel that we obtain salvation, that we obtain it in the same way that Christ obtained it, and that is, by obediance to the laws of God. And this is the gospel of Jesus Christ. As Elder McConkie put it, the Plan of Salvation is a plan of justice. There is also mercy, lots of it, but overall it is a plan of justice. The reason for the overall being justice and not mercy is not to overrule Christ in the plan. As its been said before, we thank God the Father for the permission to repent, and we thank Jesus Christ the Son for the ability to repent. The mercy is to help get us to the justice. We are not supposed to plan on long term messing up; we are to plan on overcoming all things and putting all enemies under our feet. That is how Joseph Smith defined salvation (overcoming all things and putting all enemies under our feet). This includes overcoming our weaknesses.
One of the general authorities taught it this way: there is no retirment in the Lord’s plan. In other words, we are not couch potatoes that go and ask Jesus for blessings. We are not even people that do pretty good but keep falling back on the mercy. We are people rather whom if we do bad, we repent, and start doing good. That’s where the mercy comes in is the repentance, but will God forgive you for the same thing twice? That is between you and God, and God will not be taken lightly. He will not be mocked by those who take his commandments lightly. He expressly stated in D&C 19 that those who don’t repent will suffer beyond mortal comprehension. God is not a cheep person. He expects improvment, and he empowers improvment. So that is the gospel plan, it is a plan of progression. And you WILL get to where you are perfect. The D&C says that Abraham Issac and Jacob are already Gods. They are done. They have arrived. It says specifically that they are seated on thrones, and are not angels but are Gods. And to suppose that a God is still learning and growing into something better is another damnable heracy as rebuked by Elder McConkie. God gets more glory as he has more children praising him and becoming like him, but he isn’t improving, he is already perfect.
-One of the apostles on his death bed was asked ‘aren’t you glad that you’re done, you’ve done well and now can go to heaven.’ He said ‘oh no! It’s not over till its over! I’m not dead yet. I could still fall. It’s not over till it’s over.’ This illustrates the point in Ecclesiastes, that if you’re wicked for a long time but then turn around you’re alright, but if you’re good a long time then turn to evil, all is lost. This is not to say that we should procrastinate repentance, for we know not when death comes, and our souls are at stake! Also the heart hardens with him when we are unrighteous, and we eventually loose the desire to repent if we go on in that way. The plan of God becomes hazy, clouded by our sins, so that our vision is impaired, and before you know it, you’re soul is gone.
Stage 3: Celestial: Becoming as Heavenly Father (Post Millennium)
-Those who live in the Celestial Kingdom have right to the ministration of Heavenly Father.
-creating Gods
-this is the earth in its exalted state, after the telestial stage (current 6000 year period) and after the terrestrial stage (soon approaching millennium 1000 year period). The length of this stage is indefinate, it never passes away.
-It is a new heaven and a new earth compared to the telestial earth. Another fire cleanses the earth to harold this change. The earth is returned to the physical location of the presence of God the Father in person.
-when we have already become perfect (completed telestial and terrestrial stage), we then start passing that on to others;
now in each sphere we can do some of powers the others, and certain persons are more advanced in their salvation than others; however, there is a general order to things. For example, Christ had become exalted (a God) even before coming to mortality.
-this is when you are the school master, when you are the headmaster, you own it, and you are now liscenced to disperse it, the Godhood. That’s where you have the eternal posterity, because you can.
-The Egyptian records show, and others etc. that there are some 690 endowments in eternity. We have an endowment on earth. I believe it was Brigham Young that said Heavenly Father’s power stems from the temple endowment he recieved when he was on an earth like us. There is a lot to learn, we will be busy and enjoying this very much. There is a lot more to go. Joseph Smith said you learn a lot even after death before you become a God.
————————————–
Theory 2: (modifies telestial and terrestrial into same stage)
Stage 1: premortality: becoming as the Holy Ghost
-testifying, a war of words, trying to get others to hearken to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ
-you know where to go for the source of knowledge and truth
-prepare for final exam called ‘mortality’
-no body yet
Stage 2: mortality: becoming as Jesus Christ: Telestial and Terrestrial
-this stage in its entirity is THE FINAL EXAM which determines our eternal assignment in Gods Kingdoms of Glory
-saving the human race: putting the plan of God into action
-overcoming all things
-seek knowledge and truth
-Millennium is to wrap up the work, finish last details of purification, ensure everyone has a chance
-includes post-mortal spirit world pre-judgement
-gain a body
Stage 3: post-mortality: becoming as Heavenly Father: Celestial
-final judgement
-you are now a God
-you are not on trial
-your business is to create Gods (*note the hebrew translation for “Lord God” as seen in the scriptures is “Jehova Elohim” which translates to “he that causes the creation of the Gods”)
-you have obtained all knowledge and know all truth
-dispensing the plan of the Gods to your ever growing posterity
-overseeing & aiding your posterity in their mortal journey
-keep your resurrected body indeffinatly

Literal Resurrection –by Nate Richardson, 5-20-17

Literal Resurrection –by Nate Richardson, 5-20-17

For another critical aspect of understanding this topic, study the doctrine of premortality from this document: https://richardsonstudies.wordpress.com/category/premortality/

-One must understand what is an angel, what is a human, what is a God. They are all human, but in different stages of progression.

stage 1 of human: angel without body (not yet come to earth to get a body)

stage 2 of human: mortal being with a body on earth (being tested to see if will advance higher by passing the test of faith)

stage 3 of human: angel without a body (came to earth for a body and died, and now awaits the resurrection)

stage 4 of human: angel with a body (the body was dead but is now resurrected to forever remain alive, for “in Christ are all made alive”)

stage 5 of human: God (the resurrected (re-embodied) angel has reached perfection)

Note: the term “angel” is not really an essential term in this context; the angel is not a different breed from the human or the God; they are all the same breed, it’s us. The main thing to pay attention to is that our stages of progression are defined by weather or not our spirits are clothed in bodies. Angel comes from Hebrew melak and Greek angelos, both merely meaning “messenger.” In that sense of the word, a human mortal on God’s errand can be termed an angel as well.

Note: Nephilim or giants or “The Watchers” are not strange supernatural creatures, but all fit into the above stages of regular human existence. For a discussion further detailing this point, see document “The Watchers Nephilim Supernatural Theory Exposed as False Doctrine –by Nate Richardson, 5-1917” at this link: https://richardsonstudies.wordpress.com/2017/05/19/the-watchers-nephilim-supernatural-theory-exposed-as-false-doctrine-by-nate-richardson-5-1917/

Note: these human stages in no way justify the false doctrine of reincarnation. The essence of a human remains forever, as well does their memory. Mortal humans don’t remember the life prior to earth because of a veil drawn over the mind by God. This veil will be removed in the resurrection of the dead, and all will remember all 3 parts of the play: pre-mortality, mortality, and post-mortality. (mortality meaning life on this earth as we now live from birth to death. The human soul has existed from the beginning, and will continue to exist indefinably. For further detailed explanation of this point, see document “Humankind living before earth (have no beginning have no end), Literal Resurrection, Eternal Family: An 18 Point Response to a non-LDS Christian: by Nate Richardson aprox. April 2017” at this link: https://richardsonstudies.wordpress.com/2017/05/15/humankind-living-before-earth-have-no-beginning-have-no-end-literal-resurrection-eternal-family-an-18-point-response-to-a-non-lds-christian-by-nate-richardson-aprox-april-2017/

-Alma 40:22-26: ” 22 Yea, this bringeth about the restoration of those things of which has been spoken by the mouths of the prophets.

23 The soul shall be restored to the body, and the body to the soul; yea, and every limb and joint shall be restored to its body; yea, even a hair of the head shall not be lost; but all things shall be restored to their proper and perfect frame.

24 And now, my son, this is the restoration of which has been spoken by the mouths of the prophets—

25 And then shall the righteous shine forth in the kingdom of God.

26 But behold, an awful death cometh upon the wicked; for they die as to things pertaining to things of righteousness; for they are unclean, and no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of God; but they are cast out, and consigned to partake of the fruits of their labors or their works, which have been evil; and they drink the dregs of a bitter cup.”

-D&C 129: 4-5, 7-8: “4 When a messenger comes saying he has a message from God, offer him your hand and request him to shake hands with you.

5 If he be an angel he will do so, and you will feel his hand.

7 Ask him to shake hands with you, but he will not move, because it is contrary to the order of heaven for a just man to deceive; but he will still deliver his message.

8 If it be the devil as an angel of light, when you ask him to shake hands he will offer you his hand, and you will not feel anything; you may therefore detect him.

– 1 Cor. 15:50 says no flesh can inherit the kingdom of God, and this is true. Resurrected bodies don’t have blood, rather spirit flows through their veins of flesh. The flesh is enhanced from it’s current earthy state to a celestial state. It is still tangible and embodies the spirit like our mortal bodies now, but it is inexhaustible. Before The Fall, Adam and Eve had no blood in their veins, they had spirit in the veins. Blood entered their bodies when the fall occurred. The fall is when they became mortal. The reason the Old Testament law forbad the eating of blood was because the blood is the life of a thing (Lev. 7:10-14).

Hear Brigham Young on this: “The blood he spilled upon Mount Calvary he did not receive again into his veins. That was poured out, and when he was resurrected, another element took the place of the blood. It will be so with every person who receives a resurrection; the blood will not be resurrected with the body, being designed only to sustain the life of the present organization. When that is dissolved, and we again obtain our bodies by the power of the resurrection, that which we now call the life of the body, and which is formed from the food we eat and the water we drink will be supplanted by another element; for flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God [see 1 Corinthians 15:50] (Discourses of Brigham Young, 374).” (https://www.lds.org/manual/teachings-brigham-young/chapter-37?lang=eng ; from Teachings of the Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young: Ch 37, Understanding Death and Resurrection)

– “We came to this earth that we might have a body and present it pure before God in the celestial kingdom. The great principle of happiness consists in having a body. The devil has no body, and herein is his punishment. He is pleased when he can obtain the tabernacle of man, and when cast out by the Savior he asked to go into the herd of swine, showing that he would prefer a swine’s body to having none. All beings who have bodies have power over those who have not.” (Joseph Smith, Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith, Ch17 https://www.lds.org/manual/teachings-joseph-smith/chapter-17?lang=eng#12-36481_000_021 ; Quoted by William Clayton, reporting an undated discourse given by Joseph Smith in Nauvoo, Illinois; in L. John Nuttall, “Extracts from William Clayton’s Private Book,” pp. 7–8, Journals of L. John Nuttall, 1857–1904, L. Tom Perry Special Collections, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah; copy in Church Archives.)

-2 Nephi 9:5-22: “5 Yea, I know that ye know that in the body he shall show himself unto those at Jerusalem, from whence we came; for it is expedient that it should be among them; for it behooveth the great Creator that he suffereth himself to become subject unto man in the flesh, and die for all men, that all men might become subject unto him.

6 For as death hath passed upon all men, to fulfil the merciful plan of the great Creator, there must needs be a power of resurrection, and the resurrection must needs come unto man by reason of the fall; and the fall came by reason of transgression; and because man became fallen they were cut off from the presence of the Lord.

7 Wherefore, it must needs be an infinite atonement—save it should be an infinite atonement this corruption could not put on incorruption. Wherefore, the first judgment which came upon man must needs have remained to an endless duration. And if so, this flesh must have laid down to rot and to crumble to its mother earth, to rise no more.

8 O the wisdom of God, his mercy and grace! For behold, if the flesh should rise no more our spirits must become subject to that angel who fell from before the presence of the Eternal God, and became the devil, to rise no more.

9 And our spirits must have become like unto him, and we become devils, angels to a devil, to be shut out from the presence of our God, and to remain with the father of lies, in misery, like unto himself; yea, to that being who beguiled our first parents, who transformeth himself nigh unto an angel of light, and stirreth up the children of men unto secret combinations of murder and all manner of secret works of darkness.

10 O how great the goodness of our God, who prepareth a way for our escape from the grasp of this awful monster; yea, that monster, death and hell, which I call the death of the body, and also the death of the spirit.

11 And because of the way of deliverance of our God, the Holy One of Israel, this death, of which I have spoken, which is the temporal, shall deliver up its dead; which death is the grave.

12 And this death of which I have spoken, which is the spiritual death, shall deliver up its dead; which spiritual death is hell; wherefore, death and hell must deliver up their dead, and hell must deliver up its captive spirits, and the grave must deliver up its captive bodies, and the bodies and the spirits of men will be restored one to the other; and it is by the power of the resurrection of the Holy One of Israel.

13 O how great the plan of our God! For on the other hand, the paradise of God must deliver up the spirits of the righteous, and the grave deliver up the body of the righteous; and the spirit and the body is restored to itself again, and all men become incorruptible, and immortal, and they are living souls, having a perfect knowledge like unto us in the flesh, save it be that our knowledge shall be perfect.

14 Wherefore, we shall have a perfect knowledge of all our guilt, and our uncleanness, and our nakedness; and the righteous shall have a perfect knowledge of their enjoyment, and their righteousness, being clothed with purity, yea, even with the robe of righteousness.

15 And it shall come to pass that when all men shall have passed from this first death unto life, insomuch as they have become immortal, they must appear before the judgment-seat of the Holy One of Israel; and then cometh the judgment, and then must they be judged according to the holy judgment of God.

16 And assuredly, as the Lord liveth, for the Lord God hath spoken it, and it is his eternal word, which cannot pass away, that they who are righteous shall be righteous still, and they who are filthy shall be filthy still; wherefore, they who are filthy are the devil and his angels; and they shall go away into everlasting fire, prepared for them; and their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone, whose flame ascendeth up forever and ever and has no end.

17 O the greatness and the justice of our God! For he executeth all his words, and they have gone forth out of his mouth, and his law must be fulfilled.

18 But, behold, the righteous, the saints of the Holy One of Israel, they who have believed in the Holy One of Israel, they who have endured the crosses of the world, and despised the shame of it, they shall inherit the kingdom of God, which was prepared for them from the foundation of the world, and their joy shall be full forever.

19 O the greatness of the mercy of our God, the Holy One of Israel! For he delivereth his saints from that awful monster the devil, and death, and hell, and that lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment.

20 O how great the holiness of our God! For he knowethall things, and there is not anything save he knows it.

21 And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam.

22 And he suffereth this that the resurrection might pass upon all men, that all might stand before him at the great and judgment day.

-1 Cor. 15:16-24: “16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.”

-1 Cor. 15:29:  “Else what shall they do which are abaptized bfor the dead, if the dead crise not at all? why are they then baptized for the ddead?”

-Luke 24:46-33: “36 ¶ And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43 And he took it, and did eat before them.”

-Job 19:26 “And though after my skin worms destroy this abody, yet in my bflesh shall I csee God”

-Moses 5:10 “And in that day Adam blessed God and was afilled, and began to bprophesy concerning all the families of the earth, saying: Blessed be the name of God, for because of my ctransgression my deyes are opened, and in this life I shall have ejoy, and again in the fflesh I shall see God.”

-What if a body is burned to ashes or shredded in the sea? It all comes back together in the resurrection by the power of God recombining those elements. Hear Brigham Young: “After the spirit leaves the body, it remains without a tabernacle in the spirit world until the Lord, by his law that he has ordained, brings to pass the resurrection of the dead [see D&C 93:33–34]. When the angel who holds the keys of the resurrection shall sound his trumpet, then the peculiar fundamental particles that organized our bodies here, if we do honor to them, though they be deposited in the depths of the sea, and though one particle is in the north, another in the south, another in the east, and another in the west, will be brought together again in the twinkling of an eye, and our spirits will take possession of them. We shall then be prepared to dwell with the Father and the Son, and we never can be prepared to dwell with them until then. Spirits, when they leave their bodies, do not dwell with the Father and the Son, but live in the Spirit world, where there are places prepared for them. Those who do honor to their tabernacles, and love and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, must put off this mortality, or they cannot put on immortality. This body must be changed, else it cannot be prepared to dwell in the glory of the Father” (Discourses of Brigham Young, 372, see Teachings of the Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young, at https://www.lds.org/manual/teachings-brigham-young/chapter-37?lang=eng).

Further, hear Brigham Young again: “We are here in circumstances to bury our dead according to the order of the Priesthood. But some of our brethren die upon the ocean; they cannot be buried in a burying ground, but they are sewed up in canvas and cast into the sea, and perhaps in two minutes after they are in the bowels of the shark, yet those persons will come forth in the resurrection, and receive all the glory of which they are worthy, and be clothed upon with all the beauty of resurrected Saints, as much so as if they had been laid away in a gold or silver coffin, and in a place expressly for burying the dead” (DBY, 373–74)

-“…The spirit [of a righteous man or woman] has overcome the body, and the body is made subject in every respect to that divine principle God has planted in the person. The spirit within is pure and holy, and goes back pure and holy to God, dwells in the spirit world pure and holy, and, by and by, will have the privilege of coming and taking the body again. [Jesus Christ,] holding the keys of the resurrection, having previously passed through that ordeal, will be delegated to resurrect our bodies, and our spirits will be there and prepared to enter into [our] bodies. Then, when we are prepared to receive our bodies, they are the first earthly objects that bear divinity personified in the capacity of the man…” (Discourses of Brigham Young, 373;  see Teachings of the Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young, at https://www.lds.org/manual/teachings-brigham-young/chapter-37?lang=eng)

– “No man can enter the celestial kingdom and be crowned with a celestial glory, until he gets his resurrected body” (DBY, 375).

-“The only true riches in existence are for you and me to secure for ourselves a holy resurrection” (DBY, 372).

– “12 And there were gathered together in one place an innumerable company of the spirits of the just, who had been faithful in the testimony of Jesus while they lived in mortality; 13 And who had offered sacrifice in the similitude of the great sacrifice of the Son of God, and had suffered tribulation in their Redeemer’s name. 14 All these had departed the mortal life, firm in the hope of a glorious resurrection, through the grace of God the Father and his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. 15 I beheld that they were filled with joy and gladness, and were rejoicing together because the day of their deliverance was at hand. 16 They were assembled awaiting the advent of the Son of God into the spirit world, to declare their redemption from the bands of death.

17 Their sleeping dust was to be restored unto its perfect frame, bone to his bone, and the sinews and the flesh upon them, the spirit and the body to be united never again to be divided, that they might receive a fulness of joy.

18 While this vast multitude waited and conversed, rejoicing in the hour of their deliverance from the chains of death, the Son of God appeared, declaring liberty to the captives who had been faithful; 19 And there he preached to them the everlasting gospel, the doctrine of the resurrection and the redemption of mankind from the fall, and from individual sins on conditions of repentance.” (D&C 138:12-19)

– “33 For man is spirit. The elements are eternal, and spirit and element, inseparably connected, receive a fulness of joy; 34 And when separated, man cannot receive a fulness of joy.” (D&C 93:33-34)

– how will we have seed without end (the covenant of Abraham) if we don’t keep our bodies in the Kingdom of God forever? In my religion, having more children in heaven is the essence of heaven and progression. I claim that none of God’s subjects are anything other than the children he has bourn. He keeps having more children, so his kingdom keeps getting bigger. So it will be for us if we follow Christ.

– God organizes intelligence and leads them along, thus they are his children. He sends them to earth, they get a body, die, get their body back in the resurrection, then they do what he does (if they pass their test, this life is the test). God has had one child in the flesh, that is Jesus Christ. “The Only Begotten Son”. The rest of us are his spirit children. That does not diminish his ownership of us though. As you may have deducted, once a child of God becomes a God, they also have spirit children, and send them to earths for their testing. To have a body is to be like God. Getting a body is one of the main reasons we came to earth.

– “I now, therefore, have come down unto thee to declare unto thee the works which my hands have made, wherein my wisdom excelleth them all, for I rule in the heavens above, and in the earth beneath, in all wisdom and prudence, over all the intelligences thine eyes have seen from the beginning; I came down in the beginning in the midst of all the intelligences thou hast seen.

22 Now the Lord had shown unto me, Abraham, the intelligences that were organized before the world was; and among all these there were many of the noble and great ones;

23 And God saw these souls that they were good, and he stood in the midst of them, and he said: These I will make my rulers; for he stood among those that were spirits, and he saw that they were good; and he said unto me: Abraham, thou art one of them; thou wast chosen before thou wast born.

24 And there stood one among them that was like unto God, and he said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell;

25 And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them;

26 And they who keep their first estate shall be added upon; and they who keep not their first estate shall not have glory in the same kingdom with those who keep their first estate; and they who keep their second estate shall have glory added upon their heads for ever and ever.” (Abraham 3:21-26)

– I will state the obvious, which is written in the most introductory text of my faith: namely that the body will rise from the grave, and be reunited with the spirit! Heaven is a place where people have bodies, live in families, and families can’t happen without sex. Worlds without end, you’ll never find such a creation. This is the genious of the restored truth of the latter days: that the body is central to the eternal plan of God, and is not merely to be disposed of after mortal death! Death of body is a resting, not a permanence! Are Christians clear about this? No! Are Latter-day Saint Christians clear about this? More clear than staring you in the face, yes! The universe is governed by laws which even God himself cannot break. The only reason a god is a god is because he and she have conformed to the laws of the universe. One of the laws of the universe is that we need bodies and the uniting thereof with a spouse to have full joy. Does full joy end after this life? No! And of course, there are many gods, though only 1 of them rules over us. Our God is our father. No being whom is not a child of God is ruled by God. All beings are ruled over by their celestial parent, worlds without end, forever and ever. To avoid the risk of saying something too sacred here, we will merely recall the words of Joseph Smith, that this “one eternal round”. Where did Gods begin? It’s one eternal round. Everyone has a parent… it’s a cycle, worlds without end, and without beginning. The mortal does not comprehend the “no beginning”, and alas I say it no better comprehends the “no end.” The average person has no clue about their true nature, for they have no clue about the nature of God. God has always existed, and we as his children have likewise always existed. God will always exist, and so will we. Even the devils of hell must go on an on forever, and have been forever going on. God fathered us in promoting our state, this does not suggest that we lived not before. Thus it is, we compare to understand, with the biological birth. That person did exist before it got a physical body, but the mortal parents heaped upon it a grand promotion: the body! Likewise, individual personal intelligences named you and me existed before God organized it into greater intelligence. The parent does such a vast favor for the child, that it is considered that the parent “created” the child. Indeed, for all intents and purposes of our word “created”, so he did!

– I believe sex is an eternal and divine thing that is a grand system of humanity; I believe that in heaven, married people have spirit babies with each other and send them to earths (which they have the power and pleasure of creating and governing to ensure justice and mercy are balanced in the end) so they their children can get bodies LIKE THEM and the experience needed to also become Gods. I also believe we get to keep our bodies in heaven, they are wonderful and bring much pleasure and are beautiful and good. Some think Adam and Eve sinned in having sex. No way! Sex is good. The Adam and Eve story? I think Eve is amazing! She helped Adam learn about how it’s worth it to go through pain in order to have joy! I believe we EVERY HUMAN ON EARTH will come out of their graves and be made perfect, impervious to disease and aging. Getting our bodies back is a free gift from out kind God whom made us. That’s a big part of the Jesus story, that he, the Son of God, “broke the bands of death”, and is responsible for giving everyone their body back. Some say you’ll be more free without a body. But meditation shows that we are quite capable of having larger than life experiences WHILE having bodies. So I think bodies are good. Just because we have a body in heaven doesn’t mean we can’t fly and teleport and move mountains; we just haven’t learned how to do that stuff yet, it will come. So this little rant can show you a bit more about why I think marriage and children is so important… because it’s the order of the universe…

– Excited about The Future!  -Excerpt from letter to a Friend, by Nate Richardson, aprox Feb. 2017 “Frankly Megan and I are quite excited about the future, we believe that either in this life (when Jesus comes in person and heals her and everyone), or after death (when our bodies get pulled out of the grave and become perfect), then Megan’s body will not be crippled, and there won’t be any pain; we will still have bodies, but they will be made incorruptible. We believe Jesus is going to come to earth to be the king of it, yes, even for a thousand years (we believe he has the right to be king of earth because he created earth). We believe the wicked (child molesters , murderers) will be burned at the time of Jesus’ coming (for evil cannot stand being in the presence of such good), BUT we do not believe that “non-religious” people will be destroyed! We believe as long as you don’t want to kill others, that’s the main requirement to “getting along” with Jesus. We believe Jesus will save us from oppressions of all kinds, and that this will be an era of peace. We believe there will be no physical death at this time (the thousand year rule of Jesus on earth aka Millennium), and thus sorrow will go away. We believe Jesus will make earth into a heaven! We believe Jesus will settle things that have been mysterious for such a long time, like how the universe was created, and what truth is (it’s so hard to find! We believe he will IN PERSON help us with that hard thing. What a relief!). In summary of this paragraph, Megan and I deal with how hard this life is largely by our hope for a better time to come in the NEAR future. And we mean near. I can taste it, it’s almost here. The pain level is about to burst, indeed it is bursting and our hearts are dying, now alas, the relief is at the door! Weep for joy! Though our creator has left us here a while so we can grow, he has not forgotten us, and SOON comes for us! And when I say “us” I don’t mean Mormons, I mean every human with a good heart. And I ABSOLUTLY mean you. And if you prefer to not call him Jesus, you can call him something else, though I do believe this will be the name he presents to us when he comes to deliver us and finally bring peace on earth. Yes, I don’t only believe peace on earth will come, my whole psychology revolves around it, and hangs on it, weeping daily, holding on only for her sake. Building things in the confidence that they will not be utterly be destroyed by growing evil forces, trusting that surely as I live victory will absolutely be ours (the good guys) at last.”

Christianity in General and Mormonism Specifically: Excerpts from a Letter to a Friend whom is not Associated with any Particular Type of Religion: Topics herein treated include role of sex on earth and in heaven, the importance of marriage and reproduction on earth and in heaven, role of drugs, feminism, Mormon leaders, homosexuality, Millennium, and some essential differences between Mormonism and contemporary “Christian” churches (namely Protestants and Catholics) – by Nate Richardson, aprox. February 2017

Note: My decision to include these letter excerpts in my public writings has been one of debate. I bid you not to judge me on these writings, as you have no idea whom the recipient was. Granted, these topics are not those to be discussed with just anyone, and I took that into account. If you’re approaching this document with an attitude to critique me, you had better end that project now. This document goes into some topics deeper than some are comfortable with, but it remains appropriate for a mature audience, and discloses no forbidden information. In the name of apologetics, these are important messages. Many seek the truth but cannot find it, and my explanations in this letter will help persons whom are not finding satisfactory answers in other venues. In our time, Satan (The Devil) is launching a powerful and relentless attack against us, moreso than ever before, and so I believe God’s counter “attack” is in declaring truth more clearly and powerfully than ever before. When The Devil stands up to fight against God with his powerful weaponry, GOD WILL FIGHT BACK, and WIN EVERY TIME. Because Jesus Christ restored his Church to Joseph Smith in 1820, we are now living in “The dispensation of the fullness of times” (D&C 128:18,20; 112:30-31; 138:48; 124:41; 121:31; 27:13 Eph. 1:10; ) wherein things are to be revealed which have been kept hidden from the foundation of the earth. If you think Mormonism has merely the same run of the mill talking points to offer humanity as other contemporary Christian groups, this letter will show you that such is not the case, and that Mormonism has a more holistic answer to life’s questions, and a more glorious hope for the future of mankind, including more compassion and joy than is traditionally allowed among “Christian” groups for those who believe differently. These things offer not only a brighter future, but a more peaceful present. (See D&C 59:23; Moses 6;59)”

Mormons don’t allow premarital sex, or drugs, or theft, or pornography, or lying. …

I like the Mormon church not because it’s perfect (it’s not, nor are its leaders, nor are its members), but because it seems to espouse a view of goodwill toward all men. It doesn’t teach that you go to hell for not following Jesus. It doesn’t teach that if a person isn’t a member of the church, they go to hell. It teaches that while it believes it has solutions, it realizes that others can find happiness in their several walks of life as well, even outside of the Mormon church. In fact it teaches that a person need not be a Mormon to go to heaven. It teaches that everyone will get to learn truth at some point, weather in this life or the next, and that truth will bless each person as they learn about it. It’s so hard to find truth in this life! So many advertisements, so many people trying to take our money, so much deceit and avarice! Mormonism all in all teaches that the caliber of the soul is not defined by religiosity, but by how a person treats their fellows. My favorite part about it is the belief that relationships continue in heaven. That includes friendships and marriages, etc. This isn’t to say you’ll need to live with a mean parent, it’s to say that if people so choose, they can stay close to family. It teaches that Jesus Christ created the earth, and that he is not vengeful, but kind. It seems like God was mean in the old testament, but it’s so hard to understand those events of thousands of years ago; I don’t think we have all the facts; when it seems like God did something mean, I’ll bet it was more like he was defending innocent people from child molesters, etc. I’ll admit there are some things in the bible and Book of Mormon that I don’t quite understand, that don’t quite seem fair, but my observations have lead me to believe that it’s overall a good organization in its principles. Also, when we hear negative about the bible or the Mormon church, we must beware of gossip and slandering. I have such a passion to learn what the bible really says that I’ve taken up the study of the Hebrew language to get at what the real story is. I can tell you, the English version often betrays the real story!  I merely am trying to say that we can be careful about these things, and seek understanding from God, our hearts, and experts rather than gossip. I think we would all like to be treated fairly, and all would like gossip to end.  I am not pushy, I am not a preacher to my friends, I am a friend to my friends; part of being a friend sometimes involves telling about how you feel and your outlook on life. Should your outlook be quite different than mine, that is ok; your view is similar to mine when it comes to fundamentals of respect, civility, and delight in the human species in and of itself! I indeed believe that people are inherently good, not inherently bad! Whoever teaches otherwise is a miserable person, and will pay for the damage they have done to the human race.

…Some say 16 is too young for lasting commitment in a relationship, … the man, would typically be the person to be a leader in such things, of asking for a marriage. There is something good about waiting until a slightly older age in our society for marriage; in old days it was not uncommon to marry by age 14; however in our society we train our children to be weak and immature, and incapable of handling the depth of responsibility that comes with marriage by that age. Frankly I think this is to some extent a mistake – persons can be in love at a young age… and thus rather than being expected to resist romance, they should be allowed to marry at a young age. I think it’s ridiculous that our laws forbid such things. [note: this is not to encourage marriages between persons far apart from eachother in age] However, like I said, our society trains the youth to be so weak that perhaps in the context of this society it is better this way. …

… I know there is a big thing about making marijuana legal right now, but personally I’m against it. [I have seen it change the character of people into someone whom they are not.] I think it so powerful that I think it not a shameful idea to regulate it by force. Many of our piers and perhaps yourself see this differently, but I have such a deep seated hatred for it, that I cannot change my view on the subject. I know it’s a plant and usually things of nature are good for us, but perhaps smoking it is not the proper use. Perhaps it should be a prescribed medical treatment, I don’t know. Smoking marijuana freely, in the sense that such may be using a good thing in a bad way, might be related to how a woman’s (and a man’s) body is beautiful and a thing of pure nature, and thank God is given so we can experience a taste of divinity while being mere mortals; yet the woman’s body, though good and of nature, is prostituted in pornography in a vicious way which undoes the purpose of it’s majesty, and works toward animalistic malice rather than commitment, and thus deprives us of the deeper pleasures that could be created in sex. So I’m against pornography. Those poor girls. Those poor boys.

(and yes I believe that in heaven married persons will continue to have sex together, but with heightened pleasure; that is, unless they have been vicious with it’s use here on earth, then the privilege may be revoked; I also believe that people in heaven continue to have babies; I believe God is the father of our spirits, I believe God is married (heterosexual), and that is how he has us his children, by having sex. I believe sex is an eternal and divine thing that is a grand system of humanity; I believe that in heaven, married people have spirit babies with each other and send them to earths (which they have the power and pleasure of creating and governing to ensure justice and mercy are balanced in the end) so they their children can get bodies LIKE THEM and the experience needed to also become Gods. So this little rant can show you a bit more about why I think marriage and children is so important… because it’s the order of the universe… the great cycle; it is also like you said, that friendship holds up the universe, yes! The selflessness embodied in a true friend is so fundamental to anything that is good and pure enough to withstand the elements!)

I don’t blame others for not believing in the temple thing, it’s a long story, and hard to believe. I wouldn’t believe in it were it not for deep feelings in my heart which lead me to it. Also there are many whom say bad things about temples, again, rumor exists, and it’s too long to discuss here. Just because people marry in a temple doesn’t mean they are good people, or that they will have a successful marriage, hah what a thought! As if the place of your ceremony would do that. That would be akin to assuming that a person whom has money is by default going to spend it wisely. When Megan couldn’t have children it broke our hearts, and we are very pleased to now be foster parents. Life is hard for us just like anyone else, but it’s also pleasant in it’s own ways.

Frankly Megan and I are quite excited about the future, we believe that either in this life (when Jesus comes in person and heals her and everyone), or after death (when our bodies get pulled out of the grave and become perfect), then Megan’s body will not be crippled, and there won’t be any pain; we will still have bodies, but they will be made incorruptible. Building things in the confidence that they will not be utterly be destroyed by growing evil forces, trusting that surely as I live victory will absolutely be ours (the good guys) at last.

I also note that I believe in Jesus, but I can understand when others don’t. People have done evil things in the name of Christianity. The crusades, killing people in the name of Jesus? Heresy! That was evil. Then we have other episodes also the Catholic church, allowing people to indulge in sin if they pay money to a priest. Pure evil! Or we have the many types of Christians today, Protestants etc, all paying money to their preachers, hearing fair promises that are void of power, hearing doctrines that are only half way true, and a different story on each corner.

In defense of Mormonism, I think a lot of people’s biggest buff about it is being abused by a bishop or bad council from a bishop, or a dad with “the priesthood” (as if), using that in a treacherous controlling way, pulling rank, “well I have the priesthood so do it/ so I’m right!” no no no. or that some may think Mormons are “exclusive” not inclusive; these are tough issues, and plenty of gossip to go with them, and plenty of background information required to explain the various policies of the church. But a few sentences on these things… abusive people are everywhere, in and outside of Mormonism. The Mormon net catches all sorts of fish, some of them bad (mean) ones. So far as inclusiveness stuff, that one takes longer to explain, but I say it is inclusive, and you can ask me about that later if you like. I’m not saying I’m a Mormon because it’s perfect; I’m saying I’m a Mormon because I believe it’s of Jesus. I believe God personally came down from heaven and anointed Joseph Smith as a prophet, and that God is using the Mormon church to help people, even if the people in the church aren’t perfect, even mean in some cases. I believe the Mormon church will help save vast numbers of people the time gets closer to the personal reign of Jesus on earth. I believe the Mormon church is infact lead by Jesus Christ, and that it is the only church on the face of the earth fully sanctioned by Jesus. Of course Jesus is not happy with sinners in the Mormon church, but I say he is using that church to do a marvelous work which has only begun.

Sometimes it’s hard to understand Mormon church policies, but we also have to remember that if there is a God, some being with perfect experience whom is trying to reach out to his creations, on some planet which has overcome the issues we are currently working on, I say if there is such a being, I think there is room for the possibility that we might not understand why he does things the way he does, similar to how a child doesn’t always understand the ways its parent uses. In saying this I’m not excusing Mormonism from tyranny, no way…. But I do believe that the president of the church is legit, and Gods anointed mouthpiece on earth to direct us wandering mortals in important issues.

One of the main things people hate about it is its history of polygamy. It’s purpose was to help the needy, to give marriage to those who sought it (thus bypassing the selfish men who refuse to marry) and to let an increased about of children be born into loving homes rather than abusive homes.

I believe God is patient with people… He is so patient. There may be something in your life that you aren’t all the way happy with deep inside, but it’ll be ok, it’ll all work out. Follow your heart to know when to act and how. I know even bringing up the word God is a controversy, you might rewrite that with “the spirit of the universe” or something more accommodating to your experience with the divine, the beauty. I’m so sorry if these things are not pleasant for me to say to you. Perhaps it was better for me to hold my tongue. Forgive me if this was the case. …

…If marriage is not what you want, then I wish you happiness in whatever you do, and I continue in my desire for your continued friendship and association. Don’t be ashamed to take things slow; everyone is living at such a hurried pace, we can have time for art and for being deliberate in our decision making. [by this I don’t suggest greatly delaying marriage] I’m not saying you are living wrong by suggesting that we need not live at a hurried pace, I know you are busy, I know we must be busy, I myself am extremely busy (believe it or not, I know the length of this letter could suggest the contrary). I guess I’m saying that we don’t need to worry about solving everything at once, and that we can be confident that things will work out in time.

I, on behalf of the males of our society, cordially apologize to you that we men are [often] such idiots, and so unwilling to marry a woman. Many women live single unmarried lives because the men are chickens. I fully confess [my opinion] that men are more often the problem than women. The men are often greedy and don’t want to share their resources, or invest in things without immediate pleasure, unwilling to have needed pain. Fools! They are selling their souls for a mess of pottage when they could have so much more with a little bit of manliness!

I do recognize that some women feel they don’t want to be “trapped” in a marriage, and think marriage hostile and unequal to them; indeed, men have a long standing history of mistreating their wives, and not treating them as EQUAL PARTNERS IN ALL THINGS, IN ALL DECISION MAKING, IN ALL LEADERSHIP etc. I despise men who treat women unfairly, and if there is a hell, the abusive demeaning unfair husband is the prime candidate for such a place. In this regard, I am a whole hearted feminist. I do feel however, that many women would like to marry, but can’t find a man with enough courage. I weep for women, their lot is so hard in this regard. I feel to rebuke my sex for their intolerable heartlessness. I will be blunt with you: I think a man whom uses a woman for sex then leaves without marrying her is selfish and tyrannical. Ignorant and debase. Sex is the symbol that says “I will unite with you in all things, even my flesh itself will witness to you that WE ARE ONE.” And that means forever. Just like how the body of a person has several parts which work together to help it survive, so can be man and woman; the combination of male and female, them being one, is necessary for the survival of the human race. A person could argue in favor of test tube babies, and artificial insemination, and while these have a place, they are dangerous in that they are getting away from nature. If we leave nature, I don’t think we can expect to survive as a species. And we are too beautiful to let our species die!  This being said, I respect homosexuals, they are often doing the best they can. While I don’t think their relationship is going to be as fulfilling and lasting as a a heterosexual (I would say natural, of nature) relationship, I do not seek to do them any harm.  While I don’t think it’s fair for homosexual parents to raise children for the above reasons (children needing a male and female biological parent as studies have shown to be better for the children), I also won’t deny them a shelter overhead, and to share my bread with me. Perhaps I am a little off on some of these views, but I’m doing my best, and feel quite strongly about these things. I know this is a subject of controversy today, and I express my apologies if I have not been gracious enough. I have attempted to defend all persons, but that gets complicated. A mere anything goes outlook doesn’t seem to suffice when it comes to laws about forcing people to cater to each other in sensitive areas; but alas, I don’t wish to get into those things here today; I’ve already gone into far greater detail than I had thought I would. May you have mercy on me if you have identified some large fault with me. May you find friendship and dignity in me despite my not being on neutral territory on some of these issues. I recognize that same sex attraction is real, that some people are born with it, and it is a complex issue that would require much more discourse than I have provided here….

If you have a different opinion than me on these things, I repeat that I still want to be your friend!…I have an overwhelming desire to see you happy. Our culture is quite diversified, and views on sex and marriage differ greatly; I do not know your feelings on these matters, but I wish to respect them whatever they are. Your gentleness and kindness has earned my respect. May that never be forgotten.

a beautiful thing about life is diversity, and a divine thing about life is having close friends whom see things differently than ourselves.

…[here by these explanations I show] you that I’m not some wierdo puritan without a heart. There are more than one way to live this life with beauty. I hope you understand.

… I wrote of religion in it not to try and change you or to suggest that you are incomplete, I merely wrote that to show you me.

Whatever your feelings are toward me now, just know that I will be sending positive thoughts into the universe about you, and pushing karma your way, and whatever else I can do to bless you.
